Early Roasted Squash

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  1. 2 acorn squash

  2. 1 tsp. cinnamon

  3. 1 tsp. cumin

  4. 1 tbsp. maple

  5. 1 tbsp. olive oil

  6. ¼ tsp. nutmeg

  7. ½ tsp. chopped thyme

  8. Salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1 


Cut the acorn squash in the half



Step 2


Scoop out the seeds and the insides of the squash



Step 3


Cut wedges from top to bottom. Follow the lines that the squash already has.



Step 4


In a bowl mix all dry i ingredients together



Step 5


Sprinkle over the squash and add salt and pepper



Step 6


Place on to a baking sheet lined with parchment



Step 7


Put the squash into the oven at 325 until fork tender.



Step 8


Once ready mix the oil and maple and brush the squash flesh



Step 9


Bake for another 5-10  minutes
