About the Recipe

  • Equal parts Cumin Seeds, Fennel Seeds and Coriander seeds

  • 1 tsp. Cumin Seed

  • 1 tsp. Fennel Seeds

  • 1 tsp.  Coriander seeds

  • 6 cups water


Step 1

Toast the seeds in a small  pot on medium heat for a minute or two. Or until the seeds become fragrant

Step 2

Remove from the pot and crush the seeds in a spice grinder or mortal and passel.

Step 3

Add back to the pot with 6 cups of water and bring to a boil, simmer for 5-8 minutes and turn off.

Step 4

You could add honey or ginger if you would like at this point.(rest for 4-5 minutes)

Step 5

Pass though a fine mesh strainer and serve.

Step 6

You could cool and save for cold iced tea and make it in large batches
